Kata Sode Seoi Otoshi

Kata-sode-seoi-otoshi - Single Sleeve Shoulder Drop

Kata-sode-seoi-otoshi is another of the kokusai-shiai-waza that is best described with it's name broken down. Indeed, the throw is a Kata-sode (Single Sleeve/d) Seoi-otoshi. For more accuracy, the technique shown in the video is the most likely position that this technique would work - a ryo-hiza-seoi-otoshi.

This technique would get it's opportunity from an uke that refuses tori a hold of more than the one arm in defence. The arm is used in a somewhat morote-seoi-nage movement, but from the outside of the arm.
